Pete Bowman
Pete began his radio life as a Pirate DJ in the swinging sixties on Radio Scotland 242 and then Radio 270, before starting his international career on Radio Antilles, followed by a successful time broadcasting in Australia. His unique and comical DJ style has entertained audiences for years. Pete can be heard fortnightly here on Scotland69am.
Joan Moore
Joan Moore lives in Staten Island with her husband Gary, who is also a Scotland69am DJ. Joan describes herself as a “radio-head", She is passionate about the wide varieties of music that she loves and turning people onto things they might not have heard before. She started playing ukulele after a chance meeting with Tiny Tim in 1966. The only genres of music that are important to Joan are “good” and “bad” music, and she plans on playing all different kinds of good music on “Listen To This” from Thelonius Monk to The Bonzo Dog Band by way of The Wild Magnolias and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Gary Jay
Gary presents The Stateside Show from our New York studios. Gary is a retired Special Education teacher living on Staten Island, New York. A musician since 1964, Gary’s tastes in music are eclectic but he always plays just what he wants but always with great respect for his listeners.
